Most fence repairs in Jacksonville are one of four things: a post that has walked in the sand and taken the run with it, rot at the ground line, a gate that has dropped and now drags, or storm damage. Three of those are quick. The fourth depends entirely on what the wind did.
If it is storm damage, do not clear it before we get there. Photographs of the damage in place, with an itemised scope, are what an adjuster needs, and they are far harder to produce once the broken timber is at the kerb. We document first, quote second, and hand you the file whether or not you use us for the rebuild.
We will also tell you when a repair is not worth doing. If half the posts are soft at the ground line, resetting two of them buys you a season and costs a third of a new fence. That is a conversation we would rather have on the estimate than after you have paid for it.
What is in the price
Post resets
Pulled, re-augered to depth and re-set in a proper collar — not braced with a sistered stake.
Section rebuilds
Damaged panels rebuilt to match the existing profile, colour and rail configuration.
Gate repairs
Rehung, squared, turnbuckle fitted, hinges upgraded and latch height corrected.
Rot cut-back
Ground-line rot cut out and replaced rather than painted over, with the cause addressed where we can see it.
Storm documentation
Photographs and an itemised scope for your insurer, produced before any clearing.
Honest replace-or-repair advice
In writing, with the numbers side by side, so you can decide rather than guess.
How it runs
Send us photographs
Two or three from your phone usually tell us whether it is an hour or a day, and we can often price it before we drive out.
Site visit and document
For storm work we photograph and itemise everything in place first, and email you the file.
Repair
Most jobs are a single visit. Post resets need overnight cure before anything is refastened to them.
Walk and warranty
We show you what was done, and our work carries the same one-year labour warranty as a new build.
Questions we get on this one
My fence leans. Can it be pushed back?
Only in the sense that it will lean again by next summer. A leaning post in sand has lost its grip, and the only durable fix is to pull it, deepen the hole and re-set it in a belled collar. We quote that, not the temporary version.
Will my insurance cover storm damage?
Often, subject to your deductible and whether fences are scheduled on your policy. What we can guarantee is that the documentation will not be why a claim stalls — photographs in place, an itemised scope and a written cause of damage, produced before anything is cleared.
How fast can you come out after a storm?
In season we run a priority list and work it by severity, starting with anything that leaves a pool unenclosed or a dog able to get out. Tell us which of those applies when you call and it changes your position on the list.
